Richard has worked in the helping professions for over 45 years as a practitioner, therapist, teacher, manager, trainer, lecturer, consultant, and in research and development. He holds professional qualifications in child care, education, art therapy, nutrition, and colon hydrotherapy. His doctorate is in psychotherapy and counselling.
Richard has run training courses nationally for central government departments and other organisations, on the care, treatment, and appropriate therapeutic interventions for emotionally disturbed children and adults. He studied Transactional Analysis at the Cathexis Institute in California and Oregon State Hospital. Richard is a Fellow of the Association of Natural Medicine and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
