Synopsis
The book contains over 20 simple curtain projects and variations for windows of all shapes and sizes, using a range of fabrics, from sheers and linens, to silks and more heavy-weight materials. The projects are simple-to-sew or no-sew curtains, ranging from unlined panels, tabtop curtains, cafe curtains and instant curtains made from off-cuts or pretty tea cloths. All curtain-making tools, materials and techniques are explained in-depth at the front of the book followed by the projects which are broken down into simple step-by-step stages. The premise of this book is that all the curtains featured are suitable for both beginners and the more experienced curtain makers alike. It will be a source of inspiration for those wishing to give new life to their windows and living spaces.
About the Author
Chris Jefferys is a freelance writer and consultant who has contributed to a number of needlecraft and sewing magazines and partworks, including Essentials, Sew Stylish, Successful Sewing, The Coats Book of Soft Furnishing and The Hamlyn Complete Sewing Course. She lives in Erith, Kent.
