About the Author

Prof. Dr. Arjan J. van Weele holds the NEVI-Chair in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management at Eindhoven University of Technology, Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Innovation Sciences (IE&IS). He has extensive experience in teaching, research and consultancy and has written numerous articles and books in the areas of strategic management, business logistics and purchasing and supply chain management. In 2003 he received the Hans Ovelg?nne Award from the International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management (IFPSM) for his outstanding academic contribution in the area of purchasing and supply management.
