About the Author

Kenneth King showed an early interest in fashion and sewing through his love of Barbie (this caused his parents much distress). He started sewing as a teenager and by college had decided that fashion was his life. After graduating with a degree in Fashion Merchandising he worked as a window display person, before teaching himself everything he knows by first specialising in extravagant beaded evening hats. Soon he was selling to the rich and famous and was able to open a studio in San Francisco. His work is shown and collected by the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the LA County Museum of Art. He has expanded his line to clothing, jewelry, other accessories, and some home furnishings. Kenneth has published numerous books in hardcover and CD form.
