Synopsis
When Hector discovers his father has channelled the family fortune into a doomsday cult who await the imminent destruction of the Earth, he is wracked by feelings of betrayal and doubt. Things change, the night an asteroid plummets from space and destroys the planet, leaving Hector and a handful of survivors struggling for survival.

About the Author
Adam Roberts is 36 and a Senior Reader in English at London University. His first novel, Salt, was nominated for the Arthur C. Clarke Award. Aside from his numerous novels, he has also published a number of academic works on both 19th century poetry and SF. He currently resides in London (UK), south of the river.
