Synopsis

Jamie is a college student whose life is under control: her studies are going well and she has a steady boyfriend. And yet she is puzzled and unsettled. Gerald, her gay male friend, leads her out of uncertainty - finally she admits that her heart has been stolen by a female lecturer. This is only the start of her journey of awakening. After her relationship with her lecturer ends, she remains unconvinced that love in its fullest form is possible. As she says: "Love is for fairy tales". Is there really "another half" for her world? Eventually, after promising the critically sick Gerald that she will not give up, she finds herself strongly attracted to his nurse, Robin. "Her beautiful eyes hit her like a train". Imagine her bitter disappointment when she learns that this woman is engaged to be married. But what are Robin's sexual preferences? Is she brave enough to be true to herself? This is a very touching and engaging account of two women who have searched for and found their feminine gay identity. Try this wonderful read - you won't be disappointed. Ru Dene worked for twenty years as a health physicist before retiring to pursue her dream of writing. She now runs a small business and resides on the east coast of South Africa. She is currently working on her third novel.
