About the Author

Helene Coon became seriously ill shortly after completion of this book and is, regretfully, now in a nursing home. Tom Coon is a retired director of the Bergen County (NJ) Police and Fire Academy. Previously he was a Supervisory Special Agent with the Office of Naval Intelligence and the Waterfront Commision of New York Harbor. He has written several hundred serious articles on law enforcement and international security. Tom wrote the first article on Voiceprint Identification and was an advisor for Crime Inc., a Thames Television International Ltd. TV series for Public Television (and a later book based on the TV series). He is one of the real-life prototypes of the Special Agents depicted in the Academy Award winning film, On The Waterfront. A number of his articles have been used as training material for federal and local law enforcement agencies. In his retirement, he's known best for his humorous writings. He currently has such a book on the market titles 'Looney and Gooney Gamboling - The Ruminations of a Curmudgeon'.
