disturbingly weird uncle, the children explore his bizarre mansion and
discover the magical camp closet, inhabited by Freebase the monkey. The
closet is a transdimensional inter-universe corridor (you know; a magic
door) that takes them to the bizarre land of Yawnia. There they meet and
befriend the Good Creatures of the enchanted land. Can the children help Mr
Numbnuts the Faun, Skeppy the Bosche Kangaroo, the Scouse Beaver and their

Eduardo and Lacy and the eccentric Professor becomes the sinister Dr.
Didgery Shag. The rather stern housekeeper of C S Lewis's original, Mrs.
Macready, is transformed into the psychotic Mrs. MacCreepy, while the
infamous White Witch of C S Lewis's original is morphed into the equally
malevolent "White Bitch" with a fabulous wardrobe. Fast paced and liberally
scattered with hillarious puns, jokes and allusions, this story
nevertheless remains true to the style of C S Lewis, and is a book not to
be missed.
