Andrew McCann has a degree in Law (Dublin Institute of
Technology) and is a graduate of the Marketing Institute of Ireland.
He has also completed a diploma in Social Studies and training in
the area of mediation.
Since March 2002, Andrew has been the development manager
for Fingal (North County) Citizens Information Service (based in
the Swords office). The service provides free, impartial information,
assistance and advocacy to over 150,000 people in North
Fingal via its four centres (Swords, Balbriggan, Skerries and
Malahide). In 2004 and 2005 the service won the Best Customer
Service (Service Sector) award and was a finalist in the Best Public
Service award category in 2004 and 2006, presented by Swords
Fingal Chamber of Commerce.
Andrew has been actively involved in the region through membership
of the Social Inclusion Monitoring Committee, Fingal
Development Board, Fingal Community Forum and Fingal MABS,
as well as other working groups.
Andrew is married and lives in Malahide, Co. Dublin.
