Web Page Design in easy steps, begins by an introduction to the Internet, Web pages, Web browsers, FTP Software, HTML and DHTML. The author asks the reader to profile a target visitor and then discusses the reasons behind setting up a Web page and how to establish a design strategy. An overall design established, the reader is then taught how to bring in specific features to their Web page. This includes: working with hyperlinks, colours, fonts and images; Web page background; designing tables and lists; applying frames to a Web page; animating Web pages; using audio on the Web; using Web video technology; and using 3D on the Web.
Further areas covered include: designing a generic and a personal home page; creating supplementary pages; and using Web forms. The author describes how to establish marketing goals, design a Web page in accordance with these and advertise on the Web. The reader is also taught how to design a Web page order form for selling products and services through the Web, and finally it is explained how to launch, promote and market Web pages.
