Synopsis

Discover a whole new way to doodle with this fabulous follow-up to the bestselling Hirameki: Draw What You See.

Hirameki - 'brainwave' or 'flash of inspiration' in Japanese - is where doodling and imagination come together. Instead of colouring inside the lines, transform colourful blots and abstract shapes into imaginative drawings of your own.

There are no rules and no artistic experience required. Simply look at the colourful marks, let your imagination wander, and add a few lines to reveal funny faces, fantastic creatures, or anything else you can dream up. Artists Peng & Hu have helpfully doodled many characters on the page to kickstart your creativity – the rest is up to you!

A calming, screen-free activity for all ages. Discover what is hidden in these all-new splodges of paint!

About this title

About the Author

The artists Peng and Hu first discovered the power of the blot when they saw a cow with a splotch that looked just like a famous filmstar and realized that even the tiniest abstract ink mark could be easily turned into something amazing.

From the Back Cover

Chunkier and cuter than the reverse-colouring competition, with Peng & Hu's signature wit and style.

With this fabulous follow-up to their original Hirameki hit from 2017, the artistic duo returns with more colour and lots of character inspiration. As before, the book is packed with colourful splotches and blots, inviting your imaginative completion with a black pen. The artists have helpfully doodled many characters on the page to kickstart your creativity – the rest is up to you!
