Cornish Time - Softcover

Harris, Marc

9781835840559: Cornish Time

Synopsis

The locals call it ‘Cornish time’ – the sense of not knowing what day of the week it is, or even what time of day. It’s easy to lose all sense of time in such beautiful surroundings, as poet and nature-lover Marc Harris found during a cycling and walking odyssey across southern Cornwall in the summer of 2012.

In Cornish Time, Marc relates his often gruelling but always spectacular journey across Cornwall, from the rugged cliffs of the Lizard Peninsula, to the incredible Lost Gardens of Heligan, to the lovely town of Fowey.

In addition, a guide to some of Cornwall’s best tourist attractions and towns is also included, to help you discover some Cornish time for yourself in this beautiful county.

'If the test of a travel book is whether it makes you want to retrace the author's steps, then Cornish Time succeeds.'
Philip Irwin - Editor of The Glamorgan Star
