Sophie Gallagher is an award-winning journalist who has written extensively on the subject of violence against women, and started a campaign to criminalise cyber-flashing – the unsolicited sending of sexual images, which has now been made illegal. Before becoming a freelance writer, she was Deputy Lifestyle Editor at the Independent and has also written for HuffPost UK, the BBC, Grazia, Financial Times, and many other publications.
