About the Author

Erich Paul Schellhammer has retired five years ago from the School of Humanitarian Studies at Royal Roads University, Victoria, Canada. He has been involved with the Peace Leadership Affinity Group of the International Leadership Association since its inception. He supports the field of peace leadership through publications, Board involvement in peace related organizations such as the Civilian Peace Service of Canada and other volunteer work to promote peace. Dr. Schellhammer, a native from Germany, resides in Canada. He holds a law degree from Germany and his graduate degrees in philosophy from Queen’s University, Canada. He has been supporting academic programs in Canada and Germany during his professional career and is an avid outdoor enthusiast enjoying rock climbing, kayaking, bike touring and skiing. He also volunteers for a local Search and Rescue group.
