Synopsis

North Korean spies hack bow-tied consultant Ryan Bach’s email and find baffling math, suspicious terminology, and mention of a first strike. Frantic to decode the presumed U.S. first strike plan, the North Koreans scramble to kidnap, interrogate, and dispose of Bach and others addressed in the email. Bach’s brilliant and alluring Fort Worth Branch Manager, Heather Spenser, subdues a love for her boss and tries to defend him with surprising martial arts and weapons skills she masks for the element of surprise. With mounting fears and unsuccessful attempts to discover U.S. attack plans, the Hermit Kingdom mobilizes hundreds of ICBMs with nuclear warheads for a kamikaze-like sucker punch on the United States. As Bach and Heather Spenser join good ol’ boy detective J.W. Hood to confront repeated spy attacks, they become enmeshed in a desperate government plan to challenge the North Korean threat.
