Synopsis

Samantha Chandler is psychic, and she’s positive that someone intends to kill her. After all, she’s lived her death time and time again in a horrifying vision. Her would-be murderer, however, remains but a shadowy figure. In desperation, Samantha turns to Lester T. Hayes, a down-on-his-luck private investigator, who accepts the job, despite serious qualms about the validity of Samantha’s claim. Lester knows that no one is "really" psychic. But Samantha Chandler is the daughter of the richest man in South Georgia, so Lester figures he'll milk the situation for all it's worth. Besides, he’s behind in his rent and owes two weeks salary to his secretary, Nadine. Plus, there’s the overdue alimony for his ex. As events begin to unfold, however, Lester soon finds himself racing against time to prevent a murder before it can happen. Only he isn’t exactly sure who the intended victim is—Samantha Chandler or someone else—because as Lester delves into his mysterious client’s past, he discovers the dark secret hidden behind the walls of the palatial estate the locals call “Xanadu,” a secret someone is willing to go to any lengths—even murder—to keep hidden.
