The Guide has been written primarily for students of GCE A Level English Literature as specified by EDEXCEL in the post-2015 syllabus (9ET0). It addresses the requirement to study, under Component 3: Poetry, one text from a prescribed list, namely The Movement Poet: Philip Larkin: The Less Deceived. The poems are explored individually, with links and connections between them drawn as appropriate.
