She is a consultant for the University of California, Los Angeles, an adjunct lecturer in the Teacher Education Department at California State University, Long Beach, and the book reviewer for The California Reader. Her areas of specialization include teaching best practices in literacy, working with diverse populations, and integrating cognitive and social constructivism with technology.
