Diaries of a proper copper are a series of books reflecting on the memoirs of Sam Bolton during his time as a South Yorkshire police officer. This first book of true stories recounted are based on real life exxpieriences and represent Sam's first two years service as a police probationer constable.The contents, sometimes tragic, sometimes humorous, all echo a time when common sense prevailed and political correctness wasn't even on the agenda. Reflecting times when the majority of so called do- gooders were still in hidding under thier stones and before they could damage the structure of society as they have inevitably done.
