Synopsis

Graydon Jemmott's "A Diamond in the Middle of an Urban Sprawl" is a heartwarming and appreciative walk through a round of golf from a man who has brought his lifelong love of golf to a challenging and memorable golf course in the heart of Ontario's Greater Toronto Area. He writes about mastering the course at the formidable Kedron Dells Golf & Country Club, located in Oshawa, Ontario about 60 kilometres east of Toronto. He asks you to join him as he takes you virtually step-by-step through each hole on the course. He describes the shots, the foibles and the idiosyncrasies of golfing at the course over a period of years. When you get through reading, you'll know just what it's like to play this course and how to improve your game!As an avid golfer he is well known in golfing circles in the area, there are few courses in Southern Ontario, Canada that he hasn't played at least twice and as a student of the game, he has enjoyed being club champion at a number of courses, always for more than a few years each. What you have here is this man's love of golf, developed over many years of rabid practice. You also have a description of a course he loves and plays regularly. A course that humbles him and keeps him on his toes all the time. That's why he loves it. By the time you finish reading this book, you'll want to visit Kedron Dells Golf Club and play it yourself - at least once.,
