Synopsis

This brief biography of John Gill, – written by his successor as pastor of the Baptist Chapel in Carter Lane, London, John Rippon, – is more than just an account of Gill’s life and writings. Rippon includes summaries of Gill’s position on the key theological controversies of that era, and these summaries are easier to digest than Gill’s somewhat dense writing and arguments. An insight into the man, his ministry and his theological outlook.

First published in 1838, this title has been completely re-typeset for issue in this format.
