About the Authors

Jae-Jae Spoon is Associate Professor Political Science and Director of the European Studies Center at the University of Pittsburgh. She is the co-editor of the Journal of Elections, Public Opinion and Parties. Her research has been published by the University of Michigan Press, the British Journal of Political Science, Comparative Political Studies, the European Journal of Political Research, European Union Politics and Party Politics.

Nils Ringe is Professor of Political Science and Director of the Center for European Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He holds a Jean Monnet Chair. His research has been published by the University of Michigan Press, Oxford University Press, American Journal of Political Science, the British Journal of Political Science, European Union Politics, and the European Journal of Political Research.
