With 10 step-by-step tutorials, Kendra helps beginners learn the fundamentals of drawing and coloured pencil techniques. She covers a range of subject matter, including still life, portraits, clouds and landscapes. In addition to the tutorials, Kendra provides advice on tools, materials and techniques, gives plenty of tips throughout and presents ideas on how to take each tutorial a step further.
There are also special features for drawing skies, adding figures to a scene and how to create colourful greys and shadows. About the Author
Kendra Ferreira is a pencil and mixed media artist specializing in pet portraits, still lifes and coastal scenes. She has a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art, Boston, and lives and works in Rhode Island, USA. Kendra is a founding partner of Beach Studios, Rhode Island, and teaches classes in coloured-pencil drawing. Kendra has won many awards for her coloured-pencil work, and is a signature member of the Colored Pencil Society of America.
