Synopsis
It is the time of the crusades. Caught in the intrigue of a master plan of The Old Man of the Mountains, Robert Simmonwood, agent for the King is led on a dance across the land by a female agent (the scorpion) who is continually one step ahead of him in a mystery he is trying so hard to solve. Discover the monk father Bernard who is sent on a secret mission to liaise with the enemies who also bears a grudge of his own to settle. Read how the knight is captured and taken to the fortress of her master, the mad dog Hassan who turns men into drug addicted fiends, and how when at his lowest ebb he escapes to make a pact with the female to set out across the sea to find the villain who is behind this affair.

I came into writing by way of a challenge and not one that I took on with any alacrity, but once I had given one opinion too many, it was presented to me that if I could do better then get to it.
