Synopsis

I can splash the middle of a puddle! I can hit the last leaf on a tree! I even splattered a great white shark, when it stuck its head out of the sea. WHAT A NAUGHTY BIRD! In this rhyming romp, a naughty bird flies around the world, splatting on other animals, until he goes a step too far...'The bear didn't like it, you see. And the problem is, that I forgot...A bear can climb a tree.' A hilarious, irreverent rhyming story written by storyteller and well-known picture book author, Sean Taylor.

Review

The story is about a naughty bird who likes to poo on everyone. The bear didn't like it when the naughty bird did a poo but I don't think anyone likes it. The bird was a bit naughty but a bit funny. The pictures were funny but the poo was disgusting. I wouldn't like it if a bird did a poo on me. The book was good, I liked it. Pixie, 3, from Wirral -- The Big Issue North * http://www.bigissuenorth.com/2015/07/summer-shelved/13273 * This bird has the attitude I think all birds have for humans regarding when they poop, although he takes it too far and is horrid to many animals. I guessed that the bird would learn his lesson with the bear, but what happened was unexpected and hilarious. I doubt the bird will poop on others ever again! The look of mischief on the bear's face and shock on the bird's face is one I won't forget for a while. I love the colour and style of the illustrations which convey more than words can for the feelings of all injured parties. This is a book to be reread many times, and is perfect if you need a pick me up. -- Jessica Pitcairn * nayusreadingcorner * We spotted this striking cover courtesy of Twitter and we wondered just how naughty can this bird be? Then we got our mitts on a copy and found out just how naughty!!! Oh boy, they weren't joking! Meet bird, a very naughty bird, who finds fun in landing a poo on a great, big elephant's head or splatting a big bull right between his horns. In fact, he takes great pleasure in pooing on anyone or indeed, anything. But what happens when this naughty little bird meets his match? With a five-star romping rhyme from the inimitable Sean Taylor and bold, characterful illustrations from Dan Widdowson, this coupling cannot fail to amuse any reader. My six year old was particularly tickled by the birds antics and found much hilarity in the bear's expression when he was targeted. -- picturebooksblogger * picturebooksblogger * This hilarious rhyming story is perfect for young children's sense of humour - it will have them in giggles throughout, especially when the bear turns the tables on the bird! -- Sarah Brew * Parents in Touch *
