'Matilda has an allergy' is a children’s book that seeks to explain what an allergy is to young children in a simple and inclusive way. ‘Matilda has an allergy’ is inspired by my daughter and her journey into the allergy world. It explains in a child friendly way what an allergy is and how it is managed. It is an ideal resource for children who have allergies or been recently diagnosed with allergies. It also promotes understanding and awareness of food allergies and is a great book for pre-schools and schools.

About the Authors
Aimee is a mother of three living in Derbyshire. She is a primary school teacher and also teaches Baby Massage. Aimee was inspired to write this book by her daughter who at the age of three was diagnosed with a severe peanut and nut allergy. Aimee set up an Instagram page called @allergystars to raise awareness and has ran support groups and an 'allergy friendly breakfast with Santa'. The book is the next step in raising awareness of food allergies for preschool and school age children and their families.
Jasmin is 17 years old and studies art and design. She has been creative from an early age winning a family photo shoot competition at age 8. Jasmin was awarded the 'Attainment in Art' award by Mr Simon Weston CBE. She is also a keen photographer and enjoys calligraphy which can be seen on her Instagram page @_jasmis_art. The illustrations in this book are her first ever commission. Jasmin loves the sea and enjoys surfing, paddle boarding and body boarding.
