Synopsis
George is bored with his pet hamster and sets off to the jungle to find himself a more interesting pet. Before he goes two steps, he meets a dragonfly who shows him that the creatures in his own backyard are much more fun than he could have imagined.

About the Author
Andy Blackford left Oxford with a degree in politics, philosophy and economics, and disappointed nearly everyone by joining a rock band. Since he won the Independent/Scholastic Children's Story of the Year competition with Spare Bear, he has written over twenty titles, mainly for younger children. He lives in the country with his wife, an English teacher, and their daughter.
