Synopsis
I told this story to my great nephew Thomas O'Brien, when he was seven years old. I wanted to explain to him what the power of love can do; and chose a baby giraffe as the chief character in my story. It tells of his adventures after being captured in Africa by wicked hunters and brought to a zoo in England, where he is befriended by the zookeeper's children. A bond of love develops between them, enabling the little animal to speak to them in the language of the animal kingdom. He then asks them to help him to return to his homeland in the foothills of Kiliminjaro. "Roger Cressey weaves a gentle message of love and kindness in this thought-provoking tale."
