Synopsis
County Wexford 1798
Síofra, a young banshee, lives on an enchanted island. She and her Aunt Silver guide the souls of the dead to the afterlife and guard the Spectacular Library of Magical Things.
One star-filled night Cara, a girl born with a swan’s wing, tries to reach the island. She almost drowns but is rescued by Síofra.
Cara needs Síofra’s help to solve the mystery of the Booley Girls – a group of girls who vanished on a mountainside thirty years before and are trapped in the Mists of Time.
There is truth in ancient folktales and power in a banshee’s tears.
Once this power is unleashed it cannot be contained. Secrets are revealed, fears are faced and, as the battle of Vinegar Hill unfolds, these two extraordinary friends embark upon the adventure of a lifetime.
