Synopsis

About the Author

John Buchan was a novelist, historian and biographer and editor. In the First World War he was Director of Information, reporting directly to the prime minister. He had a glittering career as MP at Westminster, and later became Governor-General of Canada, but he never ceased to write, and is now remembered as an exciting teller of spy tales.
