With other songs by Bruno Mars, Pixie Lott and Ed Sheeran included, this book is perfect for nailing a contemporary song that you enjoy listening to, and so will enjoy singing. Every song includes a page of information about it, detailing the key, range and some really useful performance tips.

Helpfully, a YouTube playlist has been created containing all the songs in the book, along with additional suggested listening such as interesting cover versions or other songs for cultural context, allowing the student to explore ideas for their own interpretation.

About the Author

Alison Pyne's professional career began as a model and dancer specialising in modern, Latin and freestyle dance, and as a child she became South West champion. She went on to gain a BA Hons degree in musical theatre at Guildford School of Acting. A succession of national tours with theatre companies and vocal groups followed. Alison's diverse career has seen her on radio, commercials, film and television, and her ability to perform live on TV finds her currently presenting the QVC channel. Alison's passion for interacting and encouraging young people has led her to a path in teaching. Her current position is as Chief Examiner for Rockschool's Performance Arts awards, which is the leading accredited provider of rock exams worldwide.
