What if your daydreams actually came true?
Sometimes it’s tough to be twelve. Simon’s imagination is the perfect escape—until it gets him into trouble with his teacher and parents. But that’s nothing compared to what happens after his father’s mysterious invention zaps Simon and his twin sister Casey. Now with a supercharged imagination, Simon’s next daydream takes the two of them into space. For real.
They soon encounter the evil Gamnilians, who take them prisoner. There the twins meet Geet, a clever alien with anxiety issues. Discovering that they all want the same thing—to go home—the trio teams up. Can they escape from the Gamnilians and their ruthless commander Lusec? Or will they remain imprisoned forever in the alternate universe created by Simon’s imagination?
Only one thing is certain: Their daring attempt will lead them on an adventure that not even Simon could have imagined.
Written by a long-time teacher of middle grade students (ages 9-12), this book is packed with:
A Gamnilian translation guide is included at the back of the book, with the English version of all thirty lines spoken in Gamnilian. Because—in this universe at least—they just don’t teach that kind of thing in school.

Robin Pawlak was a teacher for 31 years in Red Deer, Alberta (Canada). He had boatloads of fun with his students, but three decades is a long time, so he decided to retire to something a little quieter. Nowadays, he spends most of his time in his office, making stuff up and muttering to himself. Some say this is a sure sign that all that time with children drove him mad. This may be true. But if one writes his imaginings down, he can call himself an author, which is a somewhat more respectable title than lunatic. If you visit robinpawlak.com, you’ll find even more of Robin’s madness on display. You can also follow Robin on Twitter @1robinstweet, as well as on Instagram and Facebook as 1robinpawlak.
