Synopsis

Do the lights go out when someone dies? Are you in the dark about what to do when a person takes their last breath? This life-affirming guide encourages and enables you to explore the options for everyone involved. Once you learn of the mind- and heart-opening possibilities available, you will no longer think of ‘getting through it’ as quickly as you can. Instead, you will be thinking of slowing down to create meaningful experiences and nourishing memories, which can be of help to you in the longer term.

Even for the first day, tending to someone at home, which is usually possible and was the norm until recently, can allow your senses to help you take in what has happened. By taking time, and perhaps courage, to be close to death, you may find comfort. You may also discover that it is not what you expected.

Like many things in life, there are pros and cons to taking charge when someone close to you dies. When you know what they are, it gets a lot easier to make the best choices for you and for the people you love. If you are inspired to slow down, take charge and tend to someone after their last breath, this book has all the practical information you will need.
