Synopsis
A hidden diary. A lost friend. A teenage suicide. Sometimes the past is buried for a reason. Seven Magpies tells the story of Alison, a disillusioned teacher who discovers a childhood diary hidden in a shoe box at the house where she grew up. Its pages reveal an obsessive friendship with a girl she can’t remember, and it ends abruptly on the 14th of May 1971. Haunted by flashbacks, and on the verge of a breakdown, Alison visits Faith, a therapist who promises to unlock her past. As the therapy progresses, dark secrets and hidden trauma are revealed. But how true are Alison’s recollections, and can Faith really be trusted?
