Celebrating 50 Years of educating talented students to help them to become some of the worlds best tranportation and car designers, the Tranport Design course at Coventry University is a gateway to the exclusive and secretive world of car and vehicle design. Compiled by Nick Hull, a car design consultant with over 30 years experience and an Associate Professor to the course and author, and Andy Plumb, a graduate from the course 30 years ago who is a car design consultant, and author, this high quality hardback book contains a huge amount of input from previous students and staff members including those that helped to found the course. Once only accepting 11 people a year, and one of the only courses in Europe offering the chance to be a Transport Designer- a job the successful applicants would usually have dreamt about since sketching on their exercise books at school, the course has grown and changed over the years to maintain its position as a cutting edge but specialised window on what the future holds for those lucky enough to work in a motor company in a design position. Over the last 50 years, most of the designers around the world of some of the most iconic vehicles have a connection to Coventry and this course. Both the students and staff have equal dedication and enthusiasm to design at a high level, and many have made connections that have lasted a lifetime.

hardcover. Condition: Good. Our good condition books are generally good for reading but not for gifting or collecting. They could have imperfections such as creasing, fanning, inscriptions, margin notes, yellowing, staining on edge or cover or pages, bumps, scuffs, etc etc (sometimes multiple of these). It's a wide category that encompasses anything that isn't almost-new down to anything that is slightly better than poor. We would NOT recommend gifting Good books - these should be considered reading copies. Our books are dispatched from a Yorkshire former cotton mill. We list via barcode/ISBN so please note that the images are stock images and may not be the exact copy you receive, furthermore the details about edition and year might not be accurate as many publishers reuse the same ISBN for multiple editions and as we simply scan a barcode or enter an ISBN we do not check the validity of the edition data when listing. If you're looking for an exact edition please don't order (at least not without checking with us first, although we don't always have time to check). We aim to dispatch prompty, the service used will depend on order value and book size. We can ship to most countries, see our shipping policies. Payment is via Abe only.
