The Giving Tree romanticized a lie: kindness equals self-destructive sacrifice. Shel Silverstein's classic is actually a horror story masquerading as a children's book. Mutually beneficial trade is the cornerstone of human civilization. Readers (18+ because this contains swear words) deserve a story celebrating this truth. This parody re-imagines the relationship between the Tree and the Boy from top to bottom. It also hopefully makes you laugh. This work contains some adult themes and a few swear words.
