Synopsis

Number Zero feels he isn’t worth anything. Can the numbers show Zero that he is loved and has value?

Mrs. Wiggles and the Numbers is about a kind teacher whose students have grown. When a magic wind blows, the bulletin board numbers come alive, each with a unique personality. This beautifully written picture book uses metered rhymes and has vivid double-spread illustrations. Your little ones will recite the numbers and laugh out loud. It also teaches compassion, as the numbers help Zero to feel included.

In a schoolhouse far away, magic blew the fields of hay. Mrs. Wiggles stood alone. Long ago her class had grown. Then one day, she heard a sound…numbers leaping to the ground. Mrs. Wiggles clapped with glee, “Welcome students, come join me! Time for roll-call and a game. Stand up tall and state your name.”

Mrs. Wiggles and the Numbers is an extraordinary combination of rhyme, learning, and fun!

A happy book that will delight you and your child. Children love finding the items that represent each number on the page. You will enjoy the many subtleties. (2023 Literary Titan Award)
