Synopsis

Boots of Peace is the third book in the Armor of God children's chapter book series!

When Sir Lucian, the one-armed knight, says that few pages will receive the Boots of Peace, George Pennington and his friends work extra hard at peacemaking. While Robyn arranges help for a troubled family, George's little brother Erik struggles with Sir Michael's jousting lessons. George, however, can't stop thinking about the strange rock he once discovered in the knights' woods. He will stop at nothing to find out more about it, but he just might be missing a very important point about peace.

Based on the Scriptural Armor of God (Ephesians 6:13-17), the six-book ARMOR OF GOD series appeals to the universal and timeless quest for virtue and inner strength. The story themes and “Brother Coll’s Catechism Lessons,” weaved into each story, are perfect for children preparing for or who have recently made their First Confession and First Holy Communion. Early readers will appreciate the short chapters and pen-and-ink illustrations throughout.

About the Authors

Theresa Linden has been writing stories since grade school. Her father was in the Coast Guard, so she grew up near the ocean, living in California, the tiny island of Guam, and Oahu (one of the Hawaiian Islands). Moving from place to place left her with the impression that life is an adventure. She has since learned that a life of faith brings the greatest adventures of all. So now she loves to bring the Catholic faith to life through adventurous stories. She has books for children, teens, and adults. Three of her books won awards from the Catholic Press Association. She is a member of CatholicTeenBooks.com and the Catholic Writers Guild. Her books are featured on Catholic Reads, Catholic Mom and Daughter, and Virtue Works Media. A wife, homeschooling mom, and Secular Franciscan, she resides in northeast Ohio with her family.

Nihal Dungdung has enjoyed drawing since childhood. He lives Raipur, India. Over the years, manga, comic books, and Disney art styles have inspired him, but he loves to explore other styles too. In fact, he could spend all his time just exploring other art styles. His work includes comics, webtoons, animation, and his favorite: character designing. Nihal enjoys meeting new people and making them smile by drawing them in a funny cartoon style. As a Christian, he loves the opportunity to help bring faith-filled stories to life through his art.
