Synopsis
Children need strength and bravery to deal with the diagnosis of a chronic illness. "Tiger Livy" inspires and educates all who read her story. Livy is a vibrant, clever little girl who usually loves to play and pounce like a tiger. That is until one day when she unexpectedly gets very sick.
Now Livy isn't able to play the same, she doesn't feel like herself, and some of her friends treat her differently.
Finding inspiration from her favorite feline, Livy transforms her mindset and takes on the monumental task of mentally and emotionally healing from chronic illness.

About the Authors
Erin Garcia is a passionate educator who knows true health is a personal and community effort. She creates to educate and inspire, with the ultimate goal of connecting communities through authentic representation. Betsy Miller is a coauthor of Tiger Livy. She is the author of the picture book Hip, Hop, Hooray for Brooklynn! and the nonfiction books The Parents' Guide to Perthes, The Parents' Guide to Clubfoot, and The Parents' Guide to Hip Dysplasia. Miller joined this project to create a child-centered story that reflects the wonderful kids and families who bravely face children's health issues. Ivreese Tong is the illustrator of Tiger Livy. She is a student in the Central Valley of California and has practiced art for the past five years.
