Synopsis
Type 1 Diabetes can have some devastating complications. My mom's sister, Aunt Rita, died of complications from Type 1 Diabetes in 1974, at the early age of 43. Only 5 years later, at 15 years old, I was diagnosed with this same disease. This is my story of my almost 40 year journey with Type 1 by my side. I made my mind up early that I was not going to be another statistic of Type 1 Diabetes! I am also donating a portion of the proceeds of this book to the JDRF, to help fund research to find a cure!!
