A Trick taking game using a standard deck of 52 cards used by 4 players in 2 competing partnerships. (1) Partners sit opposite each other around a small table. (2) For scoring and reference, each player is identified by one of the points of the compass, thus North and South play against East and West. (3) The game consists of several deals. (4) Each deal progresses through 4 phases: Dealing the cards, The Auction (also called bidding), playing the hand and scoring the results. (5) Dealing the cards and scoring the results are procedural activities while the auction and play of the hand are two competitive phases of the game.
