Synopsis

Wireless Mesh Network(WMN) is a type of communication network which is built from radio nodes organized in a mesh architecture. WMN comprises of mesh clients, gateways and routers. A mesh architecture is the topology which contain nodes that build a connection to all another nodes in the whole network area. There are two different kinds of mesh architecture first one is full mesh and another one is partial mesh. Each node in the network coverage area is connected to all another nodes in fully mesh topology. This topology is also called as complete mesh topology. By fully mesh topology high amount of redundancy is achieved. Amongst those nodes if any node fails, then the route to the destination is changed to another route which have no failed node in its path. Fully mesh topology is attained on low scale industries example college campus or any office etc. but it is not possible to attain on the high scale by employing Mesh Routers. While in second type i.e partial mesh, only the few nodes build connections with all another nodes in whole coverage area, but other nodes make connections to only two or more nodes in the coverage area. So, partial mesh topology provides lesser redundancy than fully mesh topology. Partial mesh architecture is generally implemented in both low or high scale networks[1].
