About the Author

The author is MD, PhD, HT (ASCP). Medical specialty-clinical and anatomic pathology. Currently retired. Worked in Chicago hospitals (Mount Sinai Medical Center and Loyola University Chicago Medical Center) as a pathologists’ assistant and grossing technologists. Developed and maintained two popular websites “Grossing Technology in Surgical Pathology” and “Surgical Pathology CPT coding Cookbook.” Published articles in peer reviewed journals on grossing technology, CPT coding, and the educational laboratory website’s development. Published three books grossing and CPT coding. The current book is the fourth.
