Synopsis

Are you happy? If not, why not? It could be because you’ve accepted that you have little or no control over your life and can’t imagine any other way. Or is it because you’ve been beaten down so many times that you’ve learned to just settle for whatever comes along? But what if there is another option? What if you really can create or at least influence your future? What if you can “make it up?” Included in this book are a series of articles from the blog SMART Living 365 with a focus on the ways those possibilities exist for us all. No, we can’t stop the lumps and painful hurts of life from hitting us now and then, but we don’t have to live a life of suffering if or when they do. And most of all, while we can’t control the actions of others—those we care about or those who might try to control us—we always have the ability to choose how we respond. No matter what your age, where you live, or what is happening in your life, a great deal of what occurs in your future is up to you. If you would like to find hope for a better life in the days to come, this book is for you.
