"A well-crafted gangland crime thriller with a fascinating military subplot and a deliciously mysterious villain." -BestThrillers.com
"A sharply defined, engrossing cast elevates this crime caper." -Kirkus Reviews
In the shadowy streets of 1980s Chicago, will the tangled web of crime and history reveal its dark secrets before it's too late?
Major Henry Sampson, a seasoned veteran from the Vietnam War, finds himself entangled in a covert operation that stretches decades. Meanwhile, Detective Marcelle DeSantis, driven and determined, navigates the dangerous world of gang-related murders, alongside her steady but tenacious partner Bernie Bernardelli.
Will Marcelle and Bernie uncover the truth behind the murders and drug trafficking before the city plunges deeper into chaos? Can they piece together the past and present to stop a deadly conspiracy?
A gripping thriller that intertwines crime, mystery, and historical fiction, where failure means the perpetuation of a cycle of violence years in the making.
