Synopsis
The Mountain was normally peaceful and tranquil. It was a place where hunters and campers and hikers would congregate to be one with nature and behold its grandness and amazing beauty. But that was before the mountainsides were being painted with blood. There was no recognition on his face that he had even been touched as he continued his slow yet determined walk. To where? I had no idea. But he knew where he was going as the blood started flowing from a cut that was opening on his forehead from the repeated blows from the rifle butt being wielded by a man who deserved and had earned what was coming. When domestic terrorism strikes in the most unusual of places, being carried out by an even more unlikely source, Rankin quickly realizes that it is up to him and his brother to get things corrected back on the mountain, to bring it back to what it once was. With rifles in scabbards and sidearms on hips, the tandem mounted their best horses and set out to do what the government was failing at, fully knowing that on the mountain, only certain death was awaiting someone.
