In 1971, college-freshman Larry Singer approached a local concert promoter for permission to take concert photographs for his column in a small-town newspaper. Little did he know that, a verbal agreement and handshake later, he would have unrestricted access to countless rock-and-roll musicians that would later be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame! Two years later, he was recruited to shoot for Circus magazine and his images were being picked up for mass-market posters and promotions--and he gained access to shoot at concert venues and festival around the country. In the ensuing years, Singer shot photos of The Who, Bob Dylan, Deep Purple, The Rolling Stones, Van Halen, Alice Cooper, and many more. In this book, he takes readers behind the scenes with stories and photos from his favorite performers and concerts.
