Immigrants from the Indian subcontinent have been coming to Minnesota for more than half a century, and today more than forty thousand people of Indian descent live in the state, contributing to a wide variety of professional, educational, and cultural fields. Preeti Mathur, a technical communication and training consultant, is a founding member of the School of India for Languages and Culture and a past board member of the India Association of Minnesota. Preeti resides in Shoreview, Minnesota.

Dr. S. K. Dash is an innovator, an entrepreneur, a community leader, and a philanthropist. S.K. resides in Edina, MN.
