Synopsis

The Beast of Chicago delves into the history and crimes of H.H. Holmes, generally considered to be America’s first (caught and convicted) serial killer, who owned a so-called “murder castle” where he victimized visitors to the Chicago World’s Fair of 1893. The story of The Fateful Bullet is that of the assassination of President James A. Garfield by Charles J. Guiteau, following the diverging paths of two men with similar beginnings among the prairies of America.

Rick Geary is an award-winning cartoonist and illustrator. He has worked for Marvel Entertainment Group, DC Comics, Dark Horse Comics, and Heavy Metal, and he has contributed to National Lampoon and the New York Times Book Review. He lives in Carrizozo, New Mexico.
