Synopsis
This present book aims at clarifying the Book of Change as a book that talks about the Way. We do not think that the sages, who were the authors of the Book of Change, wrote the Book of Change to talk about, for example, “traveling” or “marrying maiden”. “Traveling” is explained as “traveling to or seeking the Way” and “marrying maiden” as “man coming to the house of the Way”. All 64 hexagrams and 386 lines are explained as images and words of the Way. The same interpretation is applied to Great Commentary. In order that the readers have a general outlook of the Book of Change, the book begins with an introduction. In the Foreword we present what phenomeno-logical interpretation is. In order that the readers have the complete Book of Change, this book also contains Remarks on the Trigrams, Sequence of the Hexagrams and Miscellaneous Remarks on the Hexagrams.
